Moscow, September 23 (QNA) - The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday that its forces targeted logistics facilities and seaports used to deliver military supplies to Ukrainian forces in the cities of Kyiv and Odesa.

In a statement, the Defense Ministry said that the Russian forces carried out large-scale strikes using UAVs against Ukraine’s military-industrial complex, fuel and energy infrastructure, logistics hubs, as well as naval vessels operating in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It explained that a warehouse storing materials used to produce UAVs, as well as an industrial facility manufacturing components for drones, were targeted in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.

In Odesa, the Russian Defense Ministry said its forces carried out a large-scale strike on three logistics hubs that store and distribute military and dual-use goods to support Ukrainian forces, as well as a warehouse containing components for UAVs in the town of Myrne. It added that a cargo ship in the Black Sea, which was transporting military equipment to the port of Odesa, was also targeted.

The strikes come amid reciprocal attacks between Russia and Ukraine that have increasingly targeted energy facilities, infrastructure, military sites, and ports, as the war between the two countries continues. Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts to reach a resolution remain stalled. (QNA)
