New York, September 21 (QNA) - HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met Monday with HE Prime Minister of the Republic of Lebanon Dr. Nawaf Salam, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

During the meeting, they discussed cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them, as well as the latest regional developments, particularly diplomatic efforts and joint coordination to de-escalate tensions and enhance security and stability in the region.

HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed Qatar's support for all diplomatic efforts and endeavors aimed at a solution that guarantees freedom of maritime navigation and paves the way for reaching a comprehensive agreement that achieves sustainable peace in the region.

His Excellency also reiterated Qatar's firm and supportive stance for the stability and territorial integrity of Lebanon, and its continued standing alongside the Lebanese people. (QNA)
