Washington, September 20 (QNA) – An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale struck the coast of the US territory of Guam in the Pacific Ocean Sunday.

The US Geological Survey reported that the earthquake's epicenter was located 108 kilometers from the village of Yigo on the island, at a depth of 10 kilometers.

Guam is an island located in the western Pacific Ocean. It is a US territory within the Mariana Islands group, and there is a vital US naval and air base in the Pacific Ocean. (QNA)
