University of Doha for Science and Technology to Sponsor, Participate in AEMOB Forum 2026
Doha, September 02 (QNA) - University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) announced Wednesday that it will sponsor and participate in the second edition of the Autonomous e-Mobility Forum (AEMOB Forum 2026), scheduled to take place from September 7 to 9 at the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC).
UDST said its sponsorship reflects its commitment to applied learning, innovation and industry collaboration, as well as its support for national initiatives aimed at accelerating technological advancement and contributing to the development of a sustainable, knowledge-based economy.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Dr. Salem Al Naemi, President of UDST, said, "At UDST, we believe that innovation flourishes through meaningful collaborations. Our sponsorship reflects more than our support for this event; it demonstrates the University's active contribution to the conversations shaping the future of mobility."
He added that, through the expertise of its faculty and the strength of its applied research ecosystem, the University will help advance innovative solutions that support Qatar's sustainable development ambitions.
As part of its participation in the forum, UDST will be represented by Dr. Bidur Khanal, Head of the Department of Aeronautical Engineering at the College of Engineering and Technology, who will deliver a session titled "Future Developments of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in Qatar."
His presentation will examine the evolving landscape of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technologies and their potential to transform mobility, infrastructure and innovation in Qatar, further highlighting the University's expertise in applied research, engineering and technological innovation.
UDST will also participate in panel discussions on electrification and autonomous mobility technologies and showcase a range of innovative prototypes spanning land, maritime and aerial mobility. The displays will demonstrate the University's applied approach to developing smart and sustainable mobility solutions and translating research and innovation into practical applications. (QNA)
