Ramallah, September 16 (QNA) - The Palestinian Ministry of Public Works and Housing warned of critical humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, reporting that over 2,000 damaged buildings are at immediate risk of collapse.
In a statement on Wednesday, the ministry highlighted the dangers posed by accumulated rubble, restricted access to affected areas, and structurally compromised buildings housing displaced families, warning that hazards will escalate with the approach of winter.
The ministry stated that its crews are coordinating with international partners and municipal authorities to deploy equipment for rubble removal, road clearing, and search-and-rescue efforts.
The warning follows the collapse of a six-story residential building in Gaza City's Tel Al Hawa neighborhood earlier Wednesday, which resulted in the deaths of over 20 Palestinians and left dozens more injured or missing under the debris. (QNA)
