Cairo, September 16 (QNA) - The Egyptian Foreign Ministry revealed that it claimed back an archaeological golden mummy mask from Switzerland after it was exported illegally.
The Ministry stated that the Egyptian embassy in Switzerland successfully brought back the mask in coordination with the Swiss authorities. 
The move is part of cooperation between the two countries in several sectors, notably the protection of cultural items and combating the illicit trafficking of antiquities. 
It further emphasized the two countries' commitment to strengthening coordination and exchanging experiences in this field and preventing smuggling operations and illegal circulation of antiquities, all to safeguard cultural heritage and protect it from different forms of exploitation and illegal trafficking.
