Amsterdam, September 15 (QNA) - The Kroller-Muller Museum in the Netherlands today put its complete collection of 88 paintings by Vincent van Gogh on display for the first time since 1984.
The exhibition, titled "Van Gogh, All Our Paintings," features masterpieces from the museum's collection, most of which were acquired between 1908 and 1930. The museum holds one of the world's largest collections of works by the renowned 19th-century Dutch artist, but the paintings are rarely displayed together.
The museum said in a statement that the exhibition, which runs until Jan. 3, 2027, is one of the largest Van Gogh exhibitions of this century.
Alongside "The Potato Eaters," the world-famous 1885 painting depicting peasant life, the collection includes "Cafe Terrace at Night" (1888), "The Old Church Tower at Nuenen" (1884), and numerous other paintings.
Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890) is regarded as one of the leading Post-Impressionist painters and one of the most famous and prolific artists in history. He produced around 900 paintings during his relatively short artistic career, including celebrated masterpieces such as his famous "Sunflowers" series and a number of well-known self-portraits.
