Israeli Airstrikes Pound Gaza, Kill One and Injure Others as Death Toll Rises
Gaza, September 15 (QNA) - The Gaza Strip has been coming under unabated firepower launched by Israeli occupation combat aircraft since dawn Tuesday, killing a Palestinian and wounding others, some of whom are in critical condition, Palestinian medical sources reported.
The sources added that those victimized were a group of beachgoers on the beach near the Al-Baydar area in the Sheikh Ajleen neighborhood, west of Gaza City.
Meanwhile, three Palestinians, among them a child and a girl, were injured in a double-tap Israeli drone attack near the Passport Square area west of Gaza City, while a child was wounded east of Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
Sources at Gaza hospitals said the death toll has spiked to five, while others were injured in continuous shelling operations in Gaza City and the northern enclave since dawn today.
The overall death toll of those victimized by the Israeli offensives since Oct. 7, 2023, has soared to 73,789, with 174,798 injured.
On the other hand, the Gaza Health Ministry stated that the death toll since the ceasefire took effect last October has reached 1,375, with 4,686 injured, alongside 831 bodies that have been dug out from under the rubble. (QNA)
