Gold Slips to $4287.69 as Oil Gains Strengthen Case for Elevated Interest Rates

Singapore, September 15 (QNA) - Gold fell on Tuesday, as rising crude oil prices heightened inflation worries and reinforced US rate-hike expectations.

Spot gold was down ​0.2% at $4,287.69 per ounce after hitting its lowest in more than a month in the previous session.

US gold futures were down 0.5% at $4,328.10.

As for other precious metals, spot silver fell 0.4% to $62.98, platinum gained 0.1% at $1,761.12, and palladium ticked 0.8% lower to $1,282.79. (QNA)
