Russian Defense Downs 399 Ukrainian Drones Overnight
Moscow, September 14 (QNA) - The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Monday that its air defense systems shot down 399 Ukrainian drones overnight over several Russian regions.
In a statement, the Ministry explained that the drones were intercepted over the oblasts of Astrakhan, Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Rostov, and Smolensk, as well as Crimea, Krasnodar Krai, and the Black Sea.
Since the outbreak of the war on Feb. 24, 2022, both Russia and Ukraine have issued near-daily reports regarding the progress of battles and affected territories. Due to ongoing wartime conditions and active fighting, statements from both sides often lack independent verification, limiting the ability to independently confirm the exact extent of battlefield casualties and damage.
