Dar es Salaam, October 8 (QNA) - HE Minister of Labour Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al-Marri held separate meetings with several labour ministers participating in the Second Doha Dialogue on Labour Mobility, which was hosted by the United Republic of Tanzania on Oct. 5-6 under the theme "From Commitment to Action: Advancing Fair and Sustainable Labour Mobility between Africa and GCC+", with the participation of more than 33 GCC, African and Arab countries.

Dr. Al Marri held separate meetings with HE Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office for Labour, Employment and Relations of the United Republic of Tanzania Deus Clement Sangu, HE Minister of Employment and Labour of the Democratic Republic of the Congo Ferdinand Massamba Wa Massamba, HE Minister of Employment, Labour and Social Security of the Republic of Sierra Leone Umaru Napoleon Koroma, and HE Minister of Labour, Formalisation and Social Protection of the Republic of Djibouti Yonis Ali Guedi.

Dr. Al Marri also held separate meetings with HE Minister of Labour and Social Affairs of the Federal Republic of Somalia Professor Salim Alio Ibro, HE Minister of Labour of the Republic of Lebanon Dr. Mohammad Haidar, HE Minister of Labour and Employment of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Dr. Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi, HE Minister of Public Service and Social Dialogue of the Republic of Chad Abdoulaye Mbodou Mbami, HE Minister of Labour and Employment of the Kingdom of Lesotho Tseliso Mokhosi, HE Minister of Civil Service, Labour and Public Service Reform of the Republic of Senegal Mamadou Lamine Diante, HE Minister of Labour, Gender and Social Action of the Republic of Mozambique Ivete Angela dos Anjos Ferrao Alane, and HE Minister of Labour and Home Affairs of the Republic of Botswana Major General Pius Mokgware.

The meetings focused on bilateral co-operation in labour-sector matters, ways to further strengthen and advance these relations, and key issues addressed during the second edition of the Doha Dialogue on Labour Mobility. (QNA)
