During the visit, discussions were held on avenues for military cooperation between the two countries, as well as means of enhancing collaboration in the fields of academic qualification and training, alongside addressing a number of topics of mutual interest.

The visit witnessed the laying of the foundation stone for the HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani Center for Innovation at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, where HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs laid the foundation stone, with the participation of Commander of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst Brigadier Nick Cowley, and in the presence of HE United Kingdom Minister for Veterans Lord Ben Wallace, and Chief of the General Staff of the British Army General Sir Roland Walker.

The establishment of the Center embodies the depth of the strategic partnership and distinguished defense relations between the State of Qatar and the United Kingdom, while also representing a qualitative addition to the educational and training environment at the Academy, through supporting innovation and developing the cognitive and academic capabilities of students and military personnel.

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs and the accompanying delegation also met with Qatari officer candidates and students studying at the Academy.
