Amman September 13 (QNA) - Jordan foiled an attempt by four individuals to infiltrate across one of the border fronts, after border guards were able to spot them trying to cross illegally.
Petra news agency reported today that the Jordanian forces dealt with the situation in accordance with the rules of engagement in force and were able to arrest the infiltrators without allowing them to cross the border. They were then referred to the competent authorities to complete the legal procedures against them.
The Jordanian Armed Forces affirm that the border guard units continue to perform their duty with vigilance and determination, within the framework of their responsibility to protect the Kingdom's borders and preserve its sovereignty, and to counter any infiltration attempts or illegal activities that may affect the country's security and stability.
