Cairo, September 01 (QNA) - The Egyptian Football Association announced Tuesday that it had renewed the contract of Hossam Hassan, head coach of the Egypt national team, and his coaching staff through 2030, in a move aimed at ensuring technical stability and continuing to implement the plans drawn up for the national team in the coming years.

In a statement, the Egyptian Football Association said the contract renewal was part of the board's efforts to provide the necessary stability and continue implementing the objectives and plans set for the national team during the next phase.

Hossam Hassan took charge of the Egypt national team in 2024 and led his country at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which was held in the United States, Mexico and Canada. Egypt secured its first World Cup victory in the tournament before its campaign ended in the round of 16 with a 3-2 defeat by Argentina.

The Egyptian Football Association hopes that retaining the coaching staff will help strengthen stability within the national team, build a side capable of competing, and meet the expectations of Egyptian fans in upcoming continental and international competitions. (QNA)
