Beijing, August 09 (QNA) - China's producer price index (PPI)آ rose 3.5% year-on-year in July, while the consumer price index (CPI), a main gauge of inflation, rose 0.5% year-on-year in July.
The National Bureau of Statistics of China (NBS) explained in a report Sunday that producer prices fell by 0.7% month-on-month in July.

The core CPI, which excludes food and energy prices, increased 0.9% year-on-year, according to the NBS.
Influenced by international imported factors, CPI in July edged down 0.1% on a month-on-month basis, the NBS data revealed.

The data also showed that China's producer price index, which measures costs for goods at the factory gate, went up 3.5% year-on-year in July.

The NBS attributed these movements to international and seasonal factors, along with the impact of industrial transformation and evolving consumption patterns on demand and prices. (QNA)
