Doha, August 06 (QNA) -The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Seashore Group as part of efforts to enhance Qatar's sustainability legacy.
The two organizations will collaborate on a number of field initiatives aimed at raising sustainability awareness and implementing best practices in workplaces and major events.
The initiatives include introducing effective waste management and composting solutions, as well as launching environmental awareness campaigns to encourage the adoption of more sustainable practices in the workplace.
The Supreme Committee will also benefit from the Seashore Group's expertise, including the use of the group's artificial intelligence-powered recycling application, and will organize specialized field visits to explore smarter sustainability practices.
The collaboration between the two organizations will also extend to major events hosted by Qatar in the future through initiatives aimed at promoting responsible waste disposal and enhancing environmental awareness among fans and the wider community.
Executive Director of Sustainability and Legacy at the Supreme Committee, Eng Thani Khalifa Al Zarraa, said that sustainability has always been, and continues to be, at the heart of the major events hosted by the Supreme Committee. This partnership enables the Committee to build on this legacy in line with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Seashore Group, Saqr Saeed Al Mohannadi, stated that the collaboration with the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy at both the institutional and event levels reflect a shared commitment to supporting its distinguished track record in organizing world-class events. The Seashore Group looks forward to leveraging its expertise to support Qatar's efforts to further strengthen its position as a global benchmark for hosting sustainable events in the future.
The Supreme Committee's comprehensive sustainability strategy ensures the application of the highest environmental protection standards across all international tournaments and events hosted by the State of Qatar, from infrastructure design to operational processes. The Committee is also committed to using these events as a platform to raise awareness of the importance of sustainability. (QNA)
