Cairo, August 06 (QNA) - Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly met with the CEO of Qatari Diar, Sheikh Hamad bin Talal Al-Thani, to discuss the latest developments in the Alam Al Roum development project on Egypt’s north coast.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the Alam Al Roum project, describing it as one of the most prominent investment partnerships between Egypt and Qatari Diar. The project aims to create an integrated development destination on the North Coast, encompassing a diverse range of urban, tourism, and service projects.

Madbouly noted that the project aligns with the state's strategy to maximize the use of coastal lands by developing modern urban and tourist communities in line with the latest planning standards, thereby contributing to sustainable development and ensuring year-round operation.

For his part, Sheikh Hamad bin Talal Al-Thani commended the progress witnessed on Egypt’s North Coast, affirming that Qatari Diar aims to implement the Alam Al Roum project according to the highest international standards, in collaboration with leading international companies, to create a fully integrated urban city that operates year-round in line with the country's vision for comprehensive development in the region.

The meeting also reviewed the proposed plans for the project, which include educational and healthcare facilities, residential, hotel, commercial, and entertainment areas, along with various services to meet the needs of residents and visitors.

The Alam Al Roum development project spans approximately 4,900 acres, with a 7.2-kilometer beachfront. Its total investments are estimated at around US$29.7 billion, making it one of the largest urban and tourism projects on the Mediterranean coast and a significant step in the development of Egypt's north coast.
