Russia, Ukraine Trade Fresh Attacks, Report Casualties
Kyiv/Moscow, August 04 (QNA) - Russia and Ukraine traded fresh attacks on Tuesday, with both sides reporting casualties as the conflict showed no sign of easing.
Russian authorities said five people were killed and six others injured after a Ukrainian drone struck an industrial zone in the Novosyolki area near Moscow.
Russia's Sputnik news agency reported that the attack also damaged a power substation and sparked fires in several buildings.
Ukrainian authorities, meanwhile, said one person was killed and several others injured in a Russian strike on the northeastern city of Sumy.
According to Ukraine's Ukrinform news agency, Russian forces targeted infrastructure in Sumy with guided aerial bombs, killing one person, injuring several others, and damaging numerous homes and infrastructure facilities.
The attacks were the latest in a series of escalating exchanges between Russia and Ukraine, which have intensified cross-border strikes in recent months. (QNA)
