Doha, August 04 (QNA) - Qatar University (QU) announced the admission of more than 6,000 female and male students to the University's Bachelor's degree programs for the Fall 2026 semester, noting that admission included all Qatari students who met the minimum admission requirements across the University's various colleges, reflecting the University's commitment to expanding access to higher education while providing a rich and stimulating educational experience.
In a statement on admission results, Vice President for Student Affairs at Qatar University, Dr. Mohammed Diab, affirmed QU's commitment to providing all necessities to ensure a successful experience for the new students, accompanying them every step of the way toward a university journey rich in accomplishments. He also called on all applicants to check their admission decisions through the University's official website, mybanner.qu.edu.qa, using their electronic admission accounts.
Dr. Diab pointed out that classes for the Fall 2026 semester will begin for all students on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2026, with the add/drop period concluding on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026.
The online orientation program for new students will be held starting Sunday, Aug. 16, 2026. Admitted students across all colleges will be contacted via their University email with details and links to access the program's interactive online platform, which includes video and written orientation materials.
The program aims to provide students with essential information on university life, academic regulations and policies, and student services, and to help new students use the University's electronic systems, including the online portal, university email, and academic advising services, making it easier for them to select and register for their courses with flexibility and ease. Attending and completing the program is mandatory in order to finalize students' admission procedures at the University and enable them to register for their Fall 2026 semester courses.
