Doha, August 04 (QNA) - Al Markhiya Gallery opened Tuesday the "Networks Part 4" exhibition at the Katara Cultural Village.

Organized in partnership with Hafez Gallery in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the exhibition showcases artworks by 13 visual artists from Qatar and across the Arab world.

The lineup includes homegrown artists Hanadi Darwish, Mubarak Al-Thani, and Wafika Sultan.

Representing Hafez Gallery are Abdelrahman El Shahed, Bashaer Hawsawi, Donia Al Shetairy, Sami Al Marzoogi, Ibrahim El Dessouki, Khalid Al Mutlaq, Lana Khayat, Mohammed Al Ghamdi, Raeda Ashour, and Sara Al Abdali.

Managing Director of Al Markhiya Gallery Anas Kutit told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the exhibition is part of the gallery's ongoing efforts to explore the Arab creative landscape by showcasing iconic artworks and strengthening collaboration with art galleries across the Arab world.

He added that the series reflects the gallery's mission of introducing audiences in Qatar to the experiences of Arab artists while bringing Qatari creativity to audiences across the region through such partnerships.

Kutit noted that the "Networks" series began by showcasing works by artists from Syria, followed by Egypt and the Levant, before returning in its fourth edition to the Arabian Gulf.

He highlighted the participation of multiple generations of artists, including trailblazers, mid-career artists, and young talents, as well as the diversity of their artistic schools, styles, and approaches.

These artworks, Kutit noted, reflect the richness and diversity of the visual art scene in the Gulf and the wider Arab world. (QNA)
