Washington, August 30 (QNA) - Leading Change, owned by Wathnan Racing, maintained his unbeaten record by winning the DraftKings Travers Stakes, a Grade 1 race for three-year-old thoroughbreds, at Saratoga in the United States.

The 2,000-metre dirt race featured 10 of the leading horses in the three-year-old division, with Leading Change claiming his third victory from as many starts.

Trained by Brad Cox and ridden by Manuel Franco, Leading Change produced a powerful performance marked by determination and resilience. He settled the contest in the final metres to underline his outstanding early-career form and maintain his perfect record in all three of his starts to date.

Leading Change began his career with a victory in a 1,400-metre maiden race before immediately stepping up in class to compete at Grade 3 level. He followed that with an impressive victory in the 1,700-metre Indiana Derby on the dirt at Horseshoe Indianapolis.

The Saratoga triumph further enhanced Leading Change's standing, particularly as he defeated two Grade 1 winners. Napoleon Solo finished second, while Golden Tempo took third. Both had been regarded as strong contenders in the American Triple Crown races. (QNA)
