Two Children Killed, Nine Injured After Drone Debris Hits Childcare Center in Russia
Moscow, August 24 (QNA) - Two children were killed and nine others, including seven children, were injured overnight after debris from a Ukrainian drone fell on a private childcare center in Krasnodar in southern Russia, regional Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said.
Kondratyev said drone debris also fell on residential buildings in the city, while a fire broke out at a warehouse, according to a statement on Telegram.
The incident also caused a fire at a logistics hub operated by Russian online retailer Ozon, according to the company.
Separately, Russia's Defense Ministry said Monday that its forces had struck 10 warehouses containing military equipment belonging to the Ukrainian armed forces, as well as infrastructure facilities at the port of Yuzhny in Ukraine's Odesa region.
The ministry said the strikes on the port also targeted a fuel and lubricants tanker intended for the Ukrainian armed forces.
The latest developments come amid a sharp escalation in Russian and Ukrainian attacks in recent weeks, with both sides increasingly targeting infrastructure and energy facilities. (QNA)
