Gaza: 1,286 Palestinians Killed in 4,379 Israeli Ceasefire Breaches
Gaza, August 24 (QNA) - The Israeli occupation army has committed 4,379 ceasefire breaches throughout the 315-day period, which resulted in the killing of 1,286 Palestinians and the wounding of 4,257 others, the Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip said in a statement Monday.
The statement added that since the signing of the deal, 180 Palestinians have been detained, with 813 bodies having been dug out of over 8,000 who still languish under the rubble.
The occupier allowed only 66,607 trucks to roll into the enclave out of 189,000 trucks that should have been allowed to enter until today, the statement continued, stating that the occupier's commitment is 35%.
The statement added that the occupier had allowed only 11,759 travelers to leave Gaza out of 29,800 who should have been allowed to travel since the agreement to reopen the Rafah crossing was reached, a compliance rate of 39%.
As such, the office decried the occupier's methodical policy of targeting and exterminating the Palestinian people, along with the unabated policy of lethal violence, holding it fully responsible for the relentless deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
The statement called on mediators and those sponsoring the ceasefire deal to prod the Israeli occupation to implement all terms of the agreement and cease its continuous violations. (QNA)
