LoginDAAM, Aman Forge Deal to Fund Rehabilitation Programs for Victims of Violence and Family Breakdown
Doha, August 24 (QNA) - The Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM) has signed a funding agreement with the Social Protection and Rehabilitation Center (Aman) to support the Rehabilitation Program for Victims of Violence and Family Breakdown, and the Support Program for Children with Disabilities who are Victims of Domestic Violence.
The partnership reinforces national efforts to protect the most vulnerable members of society and ensure they can access specialized care and rehabilitation services.
Under the agreement, DAAM will provide financial support for the delivery of both programs. The initiatives aim to offer an integrated package of protection, psychological, social, health and educational services that improve beneficiaries' quality of life, strengthen family stability, and help them reintegrate into society within a safe and supportive environment.
The Rehabilitation Program for Victims of Violence and Family Breakdown delivers specialized care to women and children affected by violence or family disintegration. Services include temporary shelter, psychological and social support, healthcare, legal counselling, educational support for children, as well as community reintegration and aftercare programs designed to promote lasting family stability and reduce the risk of further harm.
The second program focuses on children with disabilities who have experienced violence or family breakdown. It serves children with intellectual, hearing, visual and physical disabilities, as well as those on the autism spectrum.
Specialized rehabilitation services are tailored to individual needs and include psychological and social assessment, educational support, psychological counselling, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and awareness programs for families.
The goal is to enhance the children's social inclusion and equip their families to create a safe, nurturing environment that supports their development and stability.
Director of Shared Services at DAAM, Yousef Mohammed Al Nuaimi, said: "Our support for these two programs reflects DAAM's commitment to national initiatives that protect and empower the most vulnerable groups — particularly women and children affected by violence and family breakdown, and children with disabilities".
He added: "This collaboration demonstrates our focus on programs that deliver lasting community impact by providing protection, care and rehabilitation, while strengthening family cohesion and building a more inclusive and supportive society".
Director of the Planning and Development Office at Aman, Alia Al Sumaiti, added: "The funding agreement with DAAM highlights the importance of coordinated national efforts in strengthening the social protection system and supporting those most in need, especially women and children who have experienced violence or family breakdown".
DAAM's support for these programs underlines the vital role of community partnerships in achieving sustainable impact and advancing the Centre's efforts to create a safer, more cohesive environment for women, children and families — in line with the State's priorities and Qatar National Vision 2030.
Since its establishment in 2010, DAAM has launched numerous vital projects and initiatives across cultural, social, sports and charitable fields. (QNA)
