Public School Administrators, Teachers Return Sunday as Second-round Exams Begin Tomorrow
Doha, August 22 (QNA) - Administrators and teachers will return to public schools Sunday, marking the start of preparations for the new 2026-27 school year, as second-round exams for the 2025-26 school year get underway for students across all grade levels.
They will begin work to complete academic, administrative and organizational preparations and ensure schools are ready to welcome students, while students will return to all public schools on Aug. 30.
The return of school staff comes as part of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education’s (MOEHE) preparations for the new school year.
The preparations include completing academic, organizational and operational plans, ensuring the school environment is ready, and finalizing logistical arrangements for the start of school, helping ensure a smooth and effective start to the educational process from day one.
As such, retake exams for the 2025-26 school year will get underway Sunday and run through Aug. 27, covering students across all grade levels according to schedules approved by MOEHE.
The Ministry urged students taking the retake exams and their parents to follow instructions from their schools and adhere to the scheduled dates and approved arrangements, noting that the exam schedules can be viewed on its website.
The Ministry further emphasized its commitment to completing all necessary preparations during this period to ensure the smooth administration of the retake exams and that schools are ready for a smooth and effective start to the 2026-27 school year. (QNA)
