Moscow International Book Fair to Open in September, With Qatar Taking Part
Moscow, August 23 (QNA) - The 39th Moscow International Book Fair is set to kick off from Sept. 2 to 6, with more than 300 publishing houses from Russia and other countries taking part, including Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Culture.
The event will feature more than 400 sessions with prominent authors, showcases of latest publications, professional panel discussions, as well as presentations of new works by a host of writers.
The fair is giving overriding priority to the future of publication in the era of AI, alongside boosting international cooperation in the domain of books and publication.
In addition, the event dedicates a rich program to children and their families, featuring a creative space, theatrical shows and workshops, chiefly events devoted to introducing Chinese culture, alongside a contingent of children's literature authors who will be thrilled to showcase their latest literary releases for the autumn season.
The fair was first held in 1987, positioning itself as a pre-eminent platform for cultural and knowledge exchange on the world stage. (QNA)
