UAE Ministry of Defense: Two Missiles from Iran Targeted Maritime Navigation
Abu Dhabi, August 19 (QNA) - The UAE Ministry of Defense announced that assessments had determined that the two ballistic missiles detected coming from Iran were targeting maritime navigation and had fallen into the sea.
In a statement, the ministry affirmed that it remains on full alert and prepared to deal with any threats and to respond firmly to any attempt to undermine the security of the UAE or maritime navigation in the region, thereby safeguarding the country's sovereignty, security and stability and protecting its national interests and resources.
Earlier today, the ministry announced that its air defenses had detected two ballistic missiles coming from Iran, noting that the first fell outside the UAE's territorial waters, while the second fell within Emirati territorial waters. (QNA)
