Arab Parliament Decries Israeli Aggression Against Syria, Calls for Resolute Global Action
Cairo, August 19 (QNA) - The Arab Parliament on Wednesday vehemently condemned the airstrikes carried out by the Israeli occupation army on Abu Al-Duhur Military Airbase in Idlib Governorate, describing them as a flagrant violation of Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as a grave escalation that directly imperils regional security and stability.
In a statement today, President of the Parliament Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yammahi underscored that the bloc fully stands with Syria in fending off these repeated assaults, warning of the occupation's intentions to undermine efforts to consolidate stability and drag the region into a state of conflagration.
Al Yammahi called on the international community and the UN Security Council to assume their responsibilities and immediately act to issue a resolute condemnation, repudiating this aggression and ensuring its non-recurrence.
He demanded an end to these repeated abuses committed by the Israeli occupation, stressing that Syria has a legitimate right to defend its sovereignty and national interests under international law and norms. (QNA)
