Moscow/Kyiv, August 17 (QNA) - Russia and Ukraine reported a fresh wave of attacks on each other's territory on Monday, with the strikes killing at least seven people, injuring several others and damaging homes and civilian facilities.
Ukrainian sources reported Russian attacks on several areas across the country that killed one person and injured others, while damaging civilian facilities and homes.
In the city of Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region, a Russian drone strike destroyed a branch of Ukrainian postal operator Nova Poshta, killing one employee and injuring four others, Ukrinform reported, citing the company.
In Russia, Sputnik reported that six people were killed in a Ukrainian missile strike on the village of Koloskovo in the Valuysky district of the Belgorod region.
Alexander Shuvayev, acting governor of Russia's Belgorod region, said Ukrainian forces launched missiles at Koloskovo, killing six people. Four others were injured, including a 14-year-old, according to reports citing Shuvayev.
Russia's Defense Ministry, meanwhile, said its air defenses had intercepted and destroyed 205 Ukrainian drones overnight over several Russian regions, the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea.
Russia and Ukraine have traded near-daily accusations of attacks on targets and infrastructure in each other's territory since the conflict began in February 2022, with many of the claims difficult to independently verify amid the ongoing hostilities. (QNA)
