Ramallah, August 17 (QNA) - Several Palestinians were injured and others were arrested as Israeli occupation forces and colonists continued attacks across cities and towns in the occupied West Bank, with homes and property also targeted and restrictions imposed on residents' movement.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society said its crews treated 10 people injured in Al-Jaabari neighborhood in Hebron, including two who sustained live-fire wounds, one of them a 60-year-old man. Another Palestinian was shot and subsequently arrested by Israeli forces, it said.
Eight Palestinians were also injured after being assaulted, the Red Crescent said. In a separate incident, colonists attacked a Palestinian family in the Beit Einun area east of Hebron, injuring 20 Palestinians, while Israeli forces arrested 12 young men, it added.
Israeli forces also raided the town of Tarqumiyah and searched several homes, assaulting a number of residents and injuring three people, who were treated at the scene by Red Crescent crews. The forces also arrested a young man in the town of Beit Ummar in Hebron governorate after raiding his family home.
In Bethlehem governorate, Israeli forces raided the villages of Al-Minya and Kisan east of the governorate, searching several homes and arresting five people.
Two others were arrested in Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate after their homes were raided and searched.
Israeli forces also raided the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, deployed in the Marj Sia area and set up a military checkpoint at the village entrance. They fired tear gas toward homes in the area, causing suffocation cases, and tightened military restrictions, disrupting residents' movement.
In Jerusalem governorate, Israeli forces arrested a young man during a raid on the town of Al-Isawiya.
Meanwhile, hundreds of residents remained stuck in their vehicles for hours at the Jaba military checkpoint northeast of Jerusalem as Israeli forces tightened restrictions at the checkpoint.
Israeli forces arrested nine Palestinians after settlers surrounded a home in the village of Beit Imrin, northwest of Nablus. A Jerusalem-based doctor was also injured after being assaulted by settlers while in the Janata area east of Bethlehem, according to the report.
Israeli forces and colonists carry out frequent raids and attacks in cities, towns and refugee camps across the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, with incidents involving clashes, arrests, live-fire and rubber-bullet shootings, and the firing of tear gas at Palestinians. (QNA)
