Jeddah, August 11 (QNA) - The Saudi Cabinet has called on the international community to halt Israeli violations in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, protect the holy sites, and support the resilience of the Palestinian people.
In its meeting held Tuesday, chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Cabinet expressed the Kingdom's unequivocal rejection of all attempts aimed at altering or tampering with the legal and historic status quo of Jerusalem and its identity.
The Cabinet welcomed the statement issued by the members of the UN Security Council, which condemns the Houthi militia's attacks that imperil both regional security and freedom of maritime navigation.
It reiterated the Kingdom's right to defend its security and assets, along with its iron-clad support for the legitimate Yemeni government and UN efforts aimed at achieving peace and stability in Yemen.
In addition, the Cabinet hailed the steps taken by the ministerial meeting in support of Jerusalem and its holy sites, convened last week in Amman, Jordan. (QNA)
