Endowments Ministry Concludes 2026 Professional Generation Training Program
Doha, August 01 (QNA) - The Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs has wrapped up its 2026 Summer Training Program themed: Awqaf Professional Generation.
The event saw the participation of 70 secondary and university students of both genders, underscoring the ministry's efforts to harness the potential of Qatari youth, imbue them with professional and knowledge-based skills, and strengthen their readiness to enter the government workforce.
At the final ceremony of the program, participating students were recognized, alongside those overseeing the program from the Training and Administrative Development Section at the Human Resources Department, as well as supervisors from the various departments.
These departments hosted the trainees throughout the entire program period in appreciation of their efforts, which contributed to the initiative's success and helped achieve its training and qualification objectives.
For his part, Assistant Director of the Human Resources Department Rashid Al Marri said he was grateful for the students' keenness to benefit from the summer break by acquiring practical professional skills, along with the commitment and seriousness they demonstrated throughout the entire program.
Al Marri added that the ministry has been committed to providing a comprehensive training program that strikes a balance between knowledge-based and practical aspects, helping students build their capabilities ahead of pursuing their future careers and effectively integrating into various state institutions after completing their educational journey.
The program literally reflects Awqaf's commitment to supporting the human development pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030, Al Marri underlined, affirming that this is achieved through preparing a generation capable of shouldering responsibility and contributing to advancing the nation, as well as fostering the values of punctuality, discipline, and teamwork.
In addition, the program helps this generation adapt to the requirements of the future labor market in alignment with the nation's thrust toward building a knowledge- and innovation-based society, he outlined.
Al Marri went on to emphasized that the program stands out as a national initiative aimed at familiarizing students with the government work environment within the ministry and enabling them to acquire expertise through professional experience that combines learning, application, and creativity.
Overall, the program achieved outstanding outcomes, foremost among them strengthening students' awareness of Awqaf's societal mission, enhancing their occupational and administrative skills, and identifying multiple promising talents that can be leveraged in the future. (QNA)
