Doha, July 08 (QNA) - The Friends of the Environment Center of the Ministry of Sports and Youth concluded the first week of its summer of sustainability 2026 program.
Held under the motto "Together towards a sustainable future," the program was marked by strong attendee participation and engagement, featuring a series of awareness programs and practical activities to promote environmental awareness and instill sustainability concepts in young people.
The first week's activities included environmentally themed recreational competitions, awareness workshops on oral and dental health, and workshops on the importance of personal hygiene during the summer.
Participants also visited the Quality and Safety Department at the Public Works Authority (Ashghal), where they learned about the latest technologies used in materials testing and project quality assurance. They also visited the Aquatic Research Center of the Ministry of Municipality's Fisheries Department, where they introduced to the importance of water and marine resources and the efforts to conserve them.
