Muscat, July 08 (QNA) - Oman condemned the military attacks targeting the territories of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait, as well as the attacks on two commercial vessels from Saudi Arabia and Qatar in the Strait of Hormuz, expressing its solidarity with the two sisterly countries in safeguarding their security, stability, territorial integrity, sovereignty and national interests.

In a statement issued Wednesday, Oman's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the escalating military tensions in the region pose a threat to regional security, maritime safety, the free flow of international trade and global energy supplies.

It reiterated its categorical rejection of any actions that undermine the security of states or endanger civilian and commercial vessels.

Oman called on all parties to exercise restraint, halt the escalation, prioritize dialogue and diplomatic solutions, and fully implement the signed understandings in support of efforts to strengthen security and peace. (QNA)
