Israeli Occupation Army Detains Three Palestinians, Issues Demolition Notices Near Jenin
Ramallah, July 08 (QNA) - The Israeli occupation soldiers detained three Palestinians from the Bethlehem and Hebron governorates and issued razing notices to eight commercial facilities near the town of Arraba, south of Jenin, in the West Bank.
According to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), the occupation army raided the town of Tuqu', southeast of Bethlehem, and entrenched its military presence in several neighborhoods.
In the village of Abu Njeim, southeast of Bethlehem, the army arrested a Palestinian, impounded his vehicle, and issued the same notices in Jenin Governorate to shops near the Arraba Junction, south of the city, WAFA continued.
WAFA cited Tareq Aghbaria, Jenin Governorate's settlement affairs official, as saying that Israeli soldiers stormed the area and issued notices ordering the evacuation of these commercial structures within a week, ahead of leveling operations.
Aghbaria said the area includes many commercial shops, industrial workshops, and agricultural facilities, forming a substantial economic and agricultural hub in this governorate.
Meanwhile, Hebron was mired in settler rampages in the Huwwara area, east of Yatta, which resulted in cases of bruising and asphyxiation among Palestinians, including children.
Local sources reported that Israeli settlers attacked Palestinians and their property in the area, severely beating them and using pepper spray, which led to some injuries, with some of those injured hospitalized onsite.
In addition, the sources added that the occupation forces positioned in the same area detained two siblings throughout these incidents.
Multiple areas across the occupied West Bank are witnessing unrelenting escalation by Israeli occupation soldiers, who carry out daily raids on homes coupled with detentions and road closures, along with recurrent settler rampages against Palestinians and their property. (QNA)
