Damascus, July 07 (QNA) - Syrian President Ahmed Al Sharaa and French President Emmanuel Macron have held talks on strengthening bilateral relations, with a focus on reconstruction and expanding economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.
The two leaders also attended a Syrian-French roundtable meeting involving representatives of companies and investors ahead of the planned signing of agreements and memoranda of understanding covering key sectors including transport, energy, water, airports, digital infrastructure and industry.
During the meeting, Al Sharaa said Syria was open to French investment partnerships and stressed the importance of building balanced economic relations that would support the country's recovery and development.
He said Syria had developed a comprehensive reconstruction roadmap in partnership with France and highlighted the country's strategic location along global trade corridors.
President Macron said France was ready to contribute to Syria's reconstruction efforts and deepen cooperation with Damascus. (QNA)
