Qatar Justice Ministry Hosts Workshop on Digital Safety and Family Wellbeing
Doha, July 07 (QNA) - Qatar's Ministry of Justice has partnered with the Kanaf Parenting Center to host an interactive workshop aimed at helping families navigate the challenges of the digital age.
The session forms part of the ministry's efforts to strengthen social responsibility, improve digital awareness and equip employees with the knowledge and skills needed to support family stability amid rapid technological change.
Organizers said the workshop was designed to raise awareness of the risks associated with the digital environment while reinforcing the family's role in promoting values and encouraging the safe and responsible use of technology.
The event is the first in a series of activities being held under a new summer program launched jointly by the Ministry of Justice and Kanaf. The initiative seeks to enhance employees' knowledge, improve their family and professional wellbeing, and support the ministry's broader goals of investing in human capital and promoting lifelong learning.
The workshop covered key challenges facing families online, including digital security, protecting children from harmful online behavior, and encouraging responsible technology use. It also highlighted the importance of strengthening Qatari values and identity within the family, fostering open communication between parents and children, and using technology to support stronger family relationships.
Participants were told that helping children thrive in the digital world is not simply about limiting screen time, but about equipping them with the skills and confidence to use technology responsibly.
The workshop also provided parents with practical strategies to encourage constructive family dialogue and informed decision-making in an increasingly digital society. (QNA)
