Italian Foreign Minister, GCC Secretary-General Discuss Regional, International Developments
Rome, July 06 (QNA) - Italy's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Antonio Tajani, met on Monday with the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, who is visiting Italy.
The two officials discussed regional and international developments, with particular focus on the situation in the Middle East. They stressed the importance of strengthening dialogue and coordination and supporting efforts to promote security and stability across the region.
The meeting also reviewed relations between the Gulf Cooperation Council and Italy and explored ways to expand cooperation across various sectors in a manner that serves the mutual interests of both sides and builds on the growing ties between Italy and the Gulf states.
Albudaiwi reaffirmed the GCC's commitment to strengthening its relationship with Italy, citing the country's standing as an important partner of the council's member states. (QNA)
