Gaza, July 04 (QNA) - The death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 73,090, in addition to 173,553 injured.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza stated in its daily report that Gaza Strip hospitals received a total of 16 martyrs in the past 48 hours, including six newly martyred, one who succumbed to injuries, and nine whose bodies were recovered, in addition to 16 wounded individuals
It added that a number of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense teams have been unable to reach them so far. Since the ceasefire was declared on October 11, 2023, 1,066 people have been martyred, 3,445 have been wounded, and 797 bodies have been recovered, it noted.
The ceasefire agreement between Hamas and the Israeli entity came into effect on Oct.11, following the withdrawal of the occupation army from the sites and populated areas in the sector, and the start of the return of displaced persons to the northern part of the sector, as part of the first phase of US President Donald Trump's initiative to end the war on Gaza.
