New Delhi, July 03 (QNA) - Japanese Prime Minister TAKAICHI Sanae announced nearly $12 billion investments in commercial projects in India during summit talks with her Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi.

Speaking to reporters after the bilateral talks in New Delhi, Sanae said the volatile international situation makes cooperation and integration between Japan and India even more important, adding that she and Modi discussed a number of shared objectives in this regard.

Regarding economic relations, the Japanese Prime Minister noted that companies from both countries have exchanged approximately 130 cooperation documents, noting that they also discussed cooperation in the areas of maritime security and economic cooperation.

The talks are part of Sanae's current visit to India, during which she is focusing on trade and investment, as well as economic and defense security. (QNA)
