5.9-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Off Coast of Mexico
Mexico City, July 28 (QNA) - An earthquake measuring 5.9 magnitude on the Richter scale struck off the coast of Mexico on Tuesday.
The epicenter was at a depth of 35 km and located 50 km southwest of the state of Chiapas in Mexico, the US Geological Survey (USGS) reported.
There have been no reports of casualties or damage so far, and no tsunami warning has been issued.
Mexico is frequently struck by earthquakes of varying magnitudes due to its location between five tectonic plates along the Pacific coast. (QNA)
