Kyiv/Moscow, July 27 (QNA) - Russia and Ukraine traded drone and air attacks as both sides reported casualties, with the fighting showing no sign of abating.

Ukrainian authorities said one person was killed and 10 others were injured in Russian attacks on several regions across the country.

According to Ukraine's state news agency (Ukrinform), Russian forces struck the southeastern Zaporizhzhia region with guided bombs and drones, while also attacking the Mykolaiv, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

The attacks disrupted electricity, water and energy supplies in several areas after critical infrastructure was damaged, Ukrainian officials said.

Ukraine's Air Force said it had shot down 123 of the 147 Russian drones launched overnight.

Meanwhile, Russian authorities said two people were killed and five others were injured in a Ukrainian air attack on the Rostov region.

Russia and Ukraine have stepped up cross-border strikes in recent weeks, with both sides increasingly targeting oil facilities, military sites and critical infrastructure. Both sides have reported near-daily attacks and casualties, although those claims could not be independently verified. (QNA)
