Doha, July 27 (QNA) - Liwan Design Studios and Labs, in partnership with the Qatar Tennis Federation (QTF), has opened submissions for the second edition of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open Poster Design Competition.

Following the success of the inaugural edition in 2024, this year's initiative invites creatives across Qatar to design the official poster for the men's tournament, which will take place in February next year. 

The competition reflects Liwan Design Studios and Labs' commitment to supporting Qatar's growing creative community by providing emerging and established practitioners with opportunities to showcase their work. As part of Qatar Museums' network of Creative Hubs, Liwan nurtures artistic talent, fosters innovation, and strengthens the country's creative and cultural industries. Through initiatives such as this competition, Liwan contributes to Qatar Museums' vision of building a vibrant, sustainable creative ecosystem.

Open to designers, illustrators, artists, photographers, and digital creatives residing in the country, the competition provides a high-profile platform to create the official visual identity of one of the region's most prestigious international sporting events. The winning artwork will become a defining element of the tournament's visual identity, appearing across promotional, digital, print and on-site experiences throughout the event. The application window is open until 10 August.

Participants are encouraged to submit original concepts that capture the energy, legacy, and international spirit of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open while reflecting Qatar's rich cultural identity through compelling visual storytelling. The selected artwork will join a growing annual visual legacy for the tournament. Submissions are welcome from both emerging and established creatives, including individuals and collaboratives. Entries will be evaluated by a distinguished jury of professionals from the fields of design, art, and sport, with the winning submission selected based on originality, artistic quality, conceptual strength, relevance to the tournament, and adaptability across multiple platforms.

Through the competition, Liwan and the Qatar Tennis Federation aim to celebrate creative excellence while strengthening the connection between sport, culture, and design in Qatar.

The winning designer will receive a cash prize of QR 15,000, in addition to a one-year membership to Liwan Design Studios and Labs.

The Qatar ExxonMobil Open is an elite ATP 500 tennis tournament in Doha, attracting top players from around the world. (QNA)
