Beirut, July 27 (QNA) - Lebanese President Gen. Joseph Aoun has stressed that Lebanon would not accept Israel's violation of the terms outlined in the framework module, noting that his country, which signed it during the Washington negotiations, is committed to implementing it.

Aoun showed his trepidation about the Israeli actions affecting the efficiency of this framework, asserting that Lebanon won't accept the persistent breach of this framework, nor will it accept the ignorance of international countenance that demands respecting this deal, either.

During his meeting with United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk in Beirut, Gen. Aoun said the relentless home and village razing operations by the Israeli forces in the southern occupied areas directly violate human rights, as well as overtly run afoul of international laws and norms.

He called the international community's attention to these actions, demanding global action to prevent Israel from continuously pursuing the destructive plan that it had already pursued in Gaza.

Aoun reaffirmed that the Israeli war has hampered progress toward accomplishing further reforms, pointing out that the Lebanese government is committed to enacting more overhauls as long as they're essential and not to appease the international community.

Reciprocally, Turk emphasized that the UN agency is interested in the situation unfolding in Lebanon, affirming that it monitors the rapid developments there, particularly the Israeli assaults that have been continuing since March 2, to put out a detailed report on human rights violations.

He stressed that the agency would consistently help Lebanon and secure the essential assistance for the country.

Overall, the framework deal contemplates security arrangements, disarmament of armed groups, redeployment of the Lebanese military, and reconstruction of areas affected by war with international support.

  It also includes reviving the Lebanese economy, creating direct deconfliction channels between both sides, and taking confidence-building measures ahead of an enduring peace. (QNA)
