Singapore, July 22 (QNA) - Gold rose to a two-week high ‌on Wednesday due to technical buying as investors assessed the escalating Middle East conflict and awaited the US Federal Reserve meeting next week for information on the interest rate outlook.

Spot gold ​went up by 0.9% to $4,113.73 per ounce, having hit its highest ​level since July 10. US gold futures ⁠for August delivery rose 1.1% to $4,119.1.

Among other metals, spot silver was ⁠up 1.8% ​at $59.82 per ounce.

Platinum climbed 1.6% to $1,655.61 and palladium rose 1.6% to $1,302.25. (QNA)
