Doha, July 21 (QNA) - The Ministry of Transport (MOT) announced on Monday that maritime navigation activities for all types of maritime vessels and ships can now resume normally within the marine range of nearly seven nautical miles.

In its circular, the Ministry pointed out that this takes effect immediately and applies from Lusail City, including its ports, anchorages and marine facilities, to Hamad Port in the east, and from Umm Heesh area to Doha Salwa in the west.

It added that the vessels subject to the provisions of the international maritime conventions, and which operate as per the regulations and procedures in place, are exempted.

The MOT urged all to carefully follow the regulations and instructions in place and to ensure that all safety and security equipment is on board before and during sailing to ensure the safety and security of all trips. (QNA)
