Damascus, July 02 (QNA) - In the presence of HE Minister of Culture Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Thani, Minister of Culture of the Syrian Arab Republic Mohammad Yassin Saleh opened private folk heritage museum in the city of Jayroud in the Damascus countryside, a step that reflects a shared commitment to preserving folk heritage, safeguarding cultural legacy, and ensuring its continued presence among future generations.

The museum's opening was attended by a number of officials and those interested in cultural affairs and heritage.

The museum represents a valuable addition to the Syrian cultural landscape, housing a collection of artifacts that document aspects of social and economic life, as well as the customs and traditions that have characterized the region for centuries.

The museum officials stressed that the project aims to revive cultural memory, preserve folklore, and enhance cultural awareness among all segments of society by displaying artifacts, tools, and heritage items that reflect the authenticity and diversity of the Syrian environment, contributing to visitors' understanding of the region's history and cultural legacy.

The museum houses a large collection of rare artifacts, antique household and agricultural tools, traditional costumes, and objects that document details of daily life in the past.

All of this is presented within a traditional architectural setting that preserves the region's authentic character, offering visitors a comprehensive cultural experience that evokes the spirit of the past. (QNA)
