UK Foreign Secretary, Oman's FM Discuss Regional Developments, Deepening Ties

London, July 01 (QNA) - The UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper met Wednesday with Oman's Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi during his visit to London.

Cooper and Al Busaidi discussed the evolving situation in the region, coordination to contain regional risks, and ramping up de-escalation efforts and dialogue to achieve peace, protect the security and safety of maritime navigation, as well as ensure the flow of commerce and supply chains.

The two sides also focused on constantly strengthening the relationship in all political, economic, cultural, and scientific domains.

Both sides emphasized the importance of building on the UK-Oman partnership and the shared foundation of confidence and respect.

They concurred on continuing coordination on issues of mutual interest, in pursuit of reinforcing constructive cooperation and regional and international stability. (QNA)
