Ankara, July 01 (QNA) - The expansionist policy of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government is driving the region toward chaos, instability, war, and genocide, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan warned on Wednesday.
This came during a joint press conference with his Kyrgyz counterpart Jeenbek Kulubaev, following their participation in the Seventh Meeting of the Turkiye-Kyrgyzstan Joint Strategic Planning Group, convened in Ankara.
Fidan asked how the international community should halt this policy and what measures are required, along with an action plan that can be laid out in this regard. He stressed that Turkiye is discussing this issue with all international partners.
Turkiye-Kyrgyzstan cooperation, Fidan said, is being steadily strengthened, adding that the meeting reviewed the extent of implementing the objectives outlined in the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Councils between the two nations.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Kyrgyz counterpart Sadyr Japarov set a $5 billion target for trade volume between the two countries, he highlighted, pointing out that they are working to achieve that objective.
In addition, Fidan clarified that the meeting addressed issues of connectivity, funds, and investment, noting that in the recent incidents related to Iran, the connection and transportation of merchandise and products have gained strategic significance, with passageways and communication channels becoming increasingly important.
