Berlin, July 01 (QNA) - FC Bayern Munich announced today that they signed Moroccan forward Ismael Saibari from Dutch club PSV Eindhoven.
Bayern said that the 26-year-old signed a contract that will keep him at the club until 2031. The German club said Saibari was a major addition to the squad following his impressive performances for Morocco national football team at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he scored three goals in the group stage
Saibari will join Bayern Munich's pre-season preparations during the final week of July ahead of the new Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League campaigns.
Bayern Munich, the reigning Bundesliga champions, will begin their new league season against VfB Stuttgart on Aug. 22.
Saibari becomes the third Moroccan player to join Bayern Munich over the past decade, following Medhi Benatia, who played for the club during the 2015 and 2016 seasons, and Noussair Mazraoui, who joined Bayern from AFC Ajax on a free transfer in the summer of 2022, spent two seasons with the German club, and later moved to Manchester United FC.
